Hello! My name is Adrian Teng-Amnuay. I have worked as a Software Engineer and more recently as a Security Engineer, with a focus on cloud infrastructure and DevSecOps automation.
I have several years of software development experience building highly available, scalable distributed systems running in cloud native and hybrid cloud environments.
I helped build our Container-as-a-Service load testing platform from the ground up. The platform runs on AWS EC2 Spot instance, and is able to launch upwards of up to ten million containers in as little as thirty minutes. Running on AWS EC2 spot allows us to bid for compute at a heavily discounted rate, making it ideal for this type of infrequent workload requiring large amounts of compute resources. Check out our talk at AWS re:Invent for more info.
I also helped build out our service mesh platform at Hulu. We created our own API Gateway solution based on envoyproxy for services publicly exposed to the internet, and leveraged Istio on Kubernetes for internal service-to-service communication. Lastly we defined a declarative YAML interface for homogenously configuring traffic rules at the edge and within the mesh.
I also worked on migrating an existing vendor invoicing web application to Azure Cloud.
